We all know that the best thing about having a birthday is the cake. A cake smash and splash is the perfect way to celebrate your child turning one. My sessions are fun and led by the child. Once you’ve booked in with me, we discuss a theme or colour scheme that you’d like and I take care of the rest. I always include the set up, any props, an outfit and the cake as standard for all my cake smashes. You can sit back, relax and enjoy your little one turning one.
As with all my sessions, I always encourage photos with parents or siblings at the start. I will also take some portrait photos of your one year old before they see the cake. Then we will get the cake out and let the fun begin! To finish off, I change the set up slightly and pop them in the bath for some fun bubble and splash photos. A great way to send them home clean too.
To get booked in for your cake smash, I take a £99 session fee. I will invite you to come to the studio for a consultation where we will discuss a theme – this could be something your baby (or you!) is interested in, something that will go with their nursery/bedroom or something just for fun. When discussing your cake smash ideas, be sure to let me know of any dietary requirements or allergies your child may have as we can accommodate these. My cake smashes are usually up to an hour (as any longer will be too long for a one year old to concentrate for) and in my home studio.
Previous themes have included vintage, jungle, ice cream, Peter Rabbit, Toy Story, Butterfly, Boho, Unicorn, Dinosaur, Super Hero, Sleeping Beauty or a colour scheme e.g. Pink or pastels etc. However, if you have a theme in mind, I like to get creative!
Following the cake smash photoshoot, you will be invited back to the studio to view your beautiful images. The gallery will be of approximately 20 fully edited, high resolution images for you to choose from. Once you have seen your gallery you may make your choice. I do have a minimum spend of £299. You may want to order only wall art, or a handful of prints or digitals as opposed to one of my packages listed below. Providing the minimum spend is met, the order can be placed.
A £99 non refundable session fee is required upon booking to secure your cake smash photoshoot.
