Cake smashes are a fun and special way to celebrate your little one’s first birthday.

I absolutely love the uniqueness of each cake smash I have in the studio.  Every celebration is different as I tell your little one’s story and its the perfect way to document such an important milestone.  Capturing those cheeky smiles, little dimples … or just the way they look at you before they do something they know they shouldn’t!!!!!  

I usually see babies who are 11-13 months old book in for their first birthday cake smash and sometimes it’s a great thing to do on their actual birthday.  Cake smash photoshoots last approximatley an hour which is perfect for little ones.

It doesn’t just have to be for celebrating turning one – I do also do cake smashes for older children celebrating birthdays too!

What if my child has allergies?

Absolutely not a problem.  All my cakes are baked by a local baker and she can adapt to your needs.  

Alternatively, you do not have to have a cake at all!  We can use a fake cake, or have donuts, strawberries or just take beautiful portraits without the food aspect.

I love it!  How can I book my baby’s cake smash?

To get booked in for your cake smash, I take a £99 session fee which covers the session time, bespoke set ups, cake and use of my props and outfits.  I will then invite you to come to the studio for a consultation where we will discuss a theme – this could be something your baby (or you!) is interested in, something that will go with their nursery/bedroom or something just for fun.  

Previous themes have included vintage, jungle, ice cream, little Rabbit, Toys, Butterfly, Boho, Unicorn, Dinosaur, Super Hero, Sleeping Beauty or a colour scheme e.g. Pink, rainbows or pastels etc. However, if you have a theme in mind, I like to get creative!

Can the parents and siblings be in the cake smash photos too?

As with all my sessions, I always encourage photos with parents or siblings at the start.   It is so important that all the immediate family are a part of this very special celebration!

What do I need for my cake smash?

You’ll want to think about the outfits you will all wear for your family photos at the start.  But other than that, unless there’s something specific you want to include in the photos I take care of everything.

I always include the set up, any props, an outfit and the cake as standard for all my cake smashes.  You can sit back, relax and enjoy your little one turning one.
